A book bus is helping children in Elkhart discover reading one free book at a time. The mobile project brings books directly into the community and gives children a chance to choose something to take home.
The strength of a book bus is its simplicity. It meets families where they are, turns selection into a small moment of agency, and makes reading feel like a gift that is available in the neighborhood.
