The Green Mount Project in Cameroon is working toward 6,000 trees through community nurseries that include medicinal species, fruit trees, ornamental plants, and trees that help protect watersheds. The project also involves students and residents in learning how local care can support long-term restoration.

A forest does not return because someone plants once and walks away. It returns through repeated attention, useful knowledge, and people who can keep the work going after the first project ends. That makes the nursery as important as the seedlings themselves.
