Bernheim’s Children at Play Network received a $25,000 Lift a Life Foundation grant to expand Seeds for Urban Play in Louisville neighborhoods. The project will support free-play days, nature-play kits, teacher and facilitator training, and partnerships with organizations serving families in urban communities.
The idea is bigger than adding another activity to a child’s calendar. It is about making time in nature and self-directed play more available to children who may not otherwise have easy access to it, while giving local adults tools to keep that connection growing.
