After years learning routines at her Utah gym, Aubry Alldredge earned her UpBeat Barre instructor certification. By early September, the 22-year-old had led her first class for more than 60 people.
Alldredge, who has Down syndrome, wants participants to feel included and have options as they move. Her instructor praised her memory for choreography and her presence in the room. The first class put those practiced skills to work with Alldredge doing the welcoming and teaching.
