Twenty undergraduate students at Khalifa University earned internationally recognized Carbon Literacy Certificates after completing the university’s second carbon-literacy program. The training gave engineering-systems and management students a shared foundation for understanding emissions, energy, and climate action.
Education does not lower emissions by itself, but it changes who is prepared to make better decisions about them. Giving students a common language for carbon can help turn climate concern into practical work across engineering, business, infrastructure, and public life.
